On Madiba's Shoes.

Ok, so there we are, thinking about what we could do on this glorious Sunday. Perfect weather, perfect time of day to take a drive, so we thought we'd take The Butterfly on her first official day out.

1 hour and 2 nappies after making the decision, we were finally packed and ready to leave.... only the pram still to pack. Since we'd never done an outting before with The Butterfly, there never was a need for a pram prior to Sunday. After opening the box it came in, I soon realised that there was some measure of assembly required to this pram, and figured carrying The Butterfly would have to suffice, as time didnt allow for any manual labour whatsoever.

Off to Sandton we went, The Maiden glad and comforted in the knowledge that The Butterfly was well and fully fed, and would be as pacified and restful as a lion cub after a buffalo lunch. We found this really cool spot in Sandton Square, up on the steps where we could sit and watch the kugels go by. The Maiden stood next to me, The Butterfly in her arms, when suddenly my wet shoe indicated to me that the big buffalo lunch was being turned into a piddle on the steps. Thank goodness it was a piddle and not a pooh!

This pic is of The Butterfly shortly after arriving back home. True to form, she doesnt have a care in the world except being gorgeous, eating, sleeping and of course, piddling and pooing anytime she see's fit. And if that means right there next to Nelson Mandela's statue, in the middle of Sandton Square, than so be it :)
