The Tattoo

Cute 3 year old meets Tattoed Biker-Chick :)

Fiza vs The Jungle Gym

Me thinks Fiza wins this round :)

Windows To The Soul

Another of my favourite pics. If you look closely, you'll see a reflection in Fiza's eyes. Its all in the detail :)

Love On The Lake

Sabeen and Fiza, on the boat ride at Wemmer Pan.

Staring Down The Captain

Honestly now, if you were the Captain of the boat, and you had a 9 month old baby stare you down like this, would you not be tempted to jump ship and risk drowning? Honestly?

The Thinker

I recall an impressionist painting titled The Thinker. For some reason, this pic reminds me of that painting, and the the paintings title would be apt here too :)

Train Conductor

Thats me, trying to keep some composure while I also maintain the law and order aboard the train at Miniland.

Jan Van Riebeecks Shoe

Who's Jan Van Riebeeck? Who cares? The important item of focus here is the cute little girl standing next to his shoe.

This pic was taken at the Santarama Miniland, while Fiza and Sabeen were down from Dubai on holiday in sunny SA.

Art, Or Picture?

One of my favourite pics of Fiza, taken at the lodge, by Sabeen.

3 Generations

The Butterfly, The Maiden, and GrandPa. Thats 3 generations right there :)

Beach Babe

Sabeen at the coast, Durban. Ubercool :)

Hanging With GrandPa

GrandPa (The Maidens dad), The Butterfly and Sabeen at the beach in Durban.

Watching The Bunny

Like a rabbit caught in the headlights (excuse the pun), The Butterfly looks on intently as Fiza feeds the bunny some lettuce and carrots. It's all in the eyes, I tell you :)

The Easter Bunny

Just as Easter comes only one day of the year, so too this bunny hopped into our lives, from absolutely nowhere (we seriously dont know to this day where it came from), stayed just one single Easter day, and disappeared the next morning. Is it just me or do I hear the soundtrack to The Twilight Zone playing in the background?

Can You Hear That Laugh?

It's infectuous, I tell you :)

The Gucci Cowgirl

You know you gonna have problems whem your 9 month old daughter knows her Gucci from her Ackermans $2 sunglasses.

If The Shoe Fits

Those are big shoes to fill some day :) Go get them Tiger!!

The Innocence Of Youth

If you listen carefully, and look deep within those big beautiful eyes, you will hear all the hopes, dreams and expectations that The Butterfly awaits to be fulfilled by us. Sometimes the challenges of parenthood seem overwhelming, but a single look from our precious little ones reminds us that nothing is impossible, that everything is achievable, and most importantly that it is our duty to be the best that we can be so that we may lead by example.

How To Picnic

First, pretend like you own the place, even if the location is The Pretoria Zoo. Second, choose a spot which is the envy of all, even the animals in the zoo :) and lastly, always remember to bring food! Indians never leave home without food, even if theyre just going 2 houses away for a 5 minute visit ;)

No Tree Too Tall

The sky's the limit for Fiza, and thats the truth :) Her future shines so bright, i'd like to think i'd get to watch this star light up the sky some day, more than she already does :)

The Strolling Files

Ok, this one is especially for those new moms and dads out there, or those expecting to become parents soon. Some day, you're gonna want to take the kid out for a stroll in the park, and just in case you're not sure how to do it and remain the hip, cool and funky parent you always imagined yourself to be, i've compiled this set of pictures as a guide. Look at them, analyze them, and learn from them. Here endeth the lesson :)

Fizaboo and Boobsieboo

The other 2 women in my life :) Ironically, the first 2 would be their moms ;)

Stop. Turn. Pose.

In The Birdcage. It's pretty huge in there, as can be seen by the sze of the fence to the left of the pic. It kinda felt like a scene from Jurassic Park, except the big mean monsters had wings and were only as big as my foot :)

View From The Bridge

This is the view from the bridge. Out of Africa in just a 20 minute drive from Joburg.

Crossing Jordan

Theres this wobbly bridge you get to cross at the Pretoria Zoo, which takes you to The Birdcage. Sabreen (seated), Sabeen and I braved it first while the rest of our party brought up the rear.

Kisses On The River Kwai

The Butterfly getting the giggles as I kiss her while standing next to the brook that runs through the Pretoria Zoo. Our favourite game is called "1,2,3", where I tell her im going to kiss her on the count of 3. She's learnt to anticipate the kiss, and starts giggling hysterically as I approach her neck.... and once the kissing starts, thats when she laughs so much you cant help but laugh with her :)
