One of my favourite pics.... mostly coz with all that bonding, we all know The Butterfly is still Daddy's little girl :)

Conversations With Dada
My favourite time of day, when I get home from work and The Butterfly and I kick off our shoes, sit back and discuss the days events while The Maiden prepares dinner. On this particular evening we were in deep conversation regarding the current economic situation in the country and how the 50 basis points increase in interest rates would effect consumer credit and household debt and its ultimate ripple-effect on the equities markets..... you know, everyday father-&-daughter kinda chats ;)
Have You Met Queen Sabreen?
The Queen at her Royal Throne, Ruler Of The House Of Kaloo, she who shall be obeyed as soon as she starts moaning, the reason I leave late and come home early every day.
She's starting to enjoy sitting up and watching the world around her, and follows you with her eyes as you move around the room. Her gurgling conversations are getting longer and more animated, and im loving every minute of it :)

At this age I cant help but think back on one of the cutest babies ever, my friend Sabeen's cutie-pie daughter Fiza. My next trip to Dubai with The Butterfly and The Maiden will be Business second, visiting Fiza and Sabeen first!

What Dreams Are Made Of
Ok, some guys want sports cars, others want yachts anchored in Monaco, some even want their own private jets. Me, im not fussy at all. I like the simple things in life, like this Forex Traders Office.
Thats not too much to ask, is it? You got your 8 Sony 36" LCD screens up on the top for your Forex Markets monitoring, you got the same type of monitors on the bottom for your Equities monitoring, a couple of wireless keyboards and infra-red mouse terminals, funky leather exec recliner and VOILA! Bobs your Uncle!
So my birthdays coming up in January, and since I know how much you guys hate shopping for me coz you never know what I have and what I dont already have, I thought i'd make it easy for you and tell you I DON'T HAVE THIS OFFICE, AND YES I'D LOVE ONE THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!! Or you could just go ahead and get me what you guys always get me every year.... really, no mans life is complete without another pair of socks and an ugly tie to match :)

The Ultimate Gym
Now im not saying im addicted to my trading on the Stock Exchange or anything, but recently i've been shopping around for some new toys to complete my office in the loft I just put up at home.
This is the Traders Gym Platinum G7, complete with Bang & Olufsen BeoLab 5 digital speakers (rated the best in the world, and which trader wouldnt want these babies!), Keymat's YALOS Diamond LCD monitors (these puppies retail for around $150 000 each!) and Titanium frame to finish it all off.
Im not sure if i'd really want to work up a sweat on this bling toy, but heck it would look good in my office :)

The Butterfly's First Wheels
Spot The Baby Competition
Somewhere among those teddy bears and fluffy toys, is a cute-as-pie adorable baby girl named Sabreen.
This is The Butterfly's bed for the next few months, and it sits right next to our bed. We moved the Zebra closer above her coz she focusses pretty good on black-and-white contrasts, and watching her stare at the furry toy every morning and have long conversations with it is a joy to be experienced.

Put Your Hands In The Air....
I thought of a few possible comments for these 2 pics, but for some unknown reason I just kept getting flashbacks of the musical "Jesus Christ Superstar". Totally unrelated to the pictures I agree, but then again viewed from a different angle she does look like she's trying to get the party started here... "Put Your Hands In The Air & Wave Them Around Like You Just Dont Care"
Looking Pretty In Pink
The Maiden loves this particular outfit, and even I have to admit The Butterfly looks darn cute in it. I figured she's too young to be wearing dresses just yet, and planned on having her in jumpers, shorts and tops for the first year at least. That was until I saw how adorable she looks in dresses.
In case you're wondering, that serious look she's got going on is her standard look when you're busy telling her a story. Nothing's going to get past this one. If she could talk, I swear half the time I expect her to tell me to stick to the facts..... fairytales don't cut it for this baby. If you listen close enough, you can hear her whispering "Come on Dada, you expect me to believe some Princess has been kissing frogs for all that time? RIIIIIGGGHHHTT!"

Knuckle Sandwich
This is her contently sucking on her knuckle, not a care in the world. If only I could play you the cute sounds she makes while doing this :)
She's extremely alert for her age, and follows both sound and faces easily. She loves the flash from my camera, and getting her to look in my direction when im taking pictures is an easy task.
Aaawwww cutie pie....

Figuring Out Which One Is The Thumb...
According to her pediatrician, babies have realy just 2 options available to them for pacifying. Option 1 is the dummy, and Option 2 is the thumb. Either which way, pacifying is an integral part of their developement.
Since we've opted for a No-Dummy rule, and considering the fact that The Butterfly has been an absolute dream when it comes to her sleeping and daily ritual, touch wood we've never had the need to use a pacifier yet. Lately however, especially just before her feed, she's learnt to suck on her knuckles. She's still slowly learning the difference between the knuckle, the thumb and the whole fist, but watching her figure it out is an entire evenings entertainment on its own :)

Daddy's Little Angel
The Butterfly's Khala from Free State bought her this beautiful outfit, and as soon we out it on for her, she kinda knew that she looked like an angel coz she just got this really serene look about her.
She's got so many cute outfits for the summer I think she's going to need her own wardrobe for different seasons already.

A Humble Prayer Request
A few weeks ago I posted a pic of my good friend rashid Akhalwaya, his wife Amina and their kid Mohamed. This morning Amina was involved in a terrible car accident, and is in a coma with brain injuries in an intensive care unit.
This is my humble request to one and all who visit this blog to please put their hands together and say a silent prayer for her speedy recovery.
All things, whatever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive. - Matthew 21:22

Smile, It's Your Blog
I've had so many people ask me for pics of The Butterfly actually smiling, so when she did and I had my camera in hand, I decided to just click away.
At this point The Butterfly was no longer impressed at how many pictures i'd taken all at once. She gave me her infamous "Look". Something im slowly starting to get used to.
Here they are, in no particular order. Th Maiden wants to send some of these pics to some magazine that runs a competition for Gorgeous Babies. Personally I think thats like entering a Ferrari into a competition for "Nice Used Cars"... get my drift?

Thats My Cutie Pie
The Butterfly's Khalajaan bought her this really cute pink number, and I think she knew she was the centre of attention for the day, coz all she did was pose for the camera.
Something tells me she's gonna love the camera, and posing for it is going to be a natural talent.
Oh, and in case you're wondering, NO, she's not hiding anything in her cheeks, they really are that plumpy :)
